In Source Theatre (IST) has been an Associate Artist Group of The Substation since 2002. The company emphasises the continual physical training of its actors and teamwork as a regular ensemble. Its unique performance style blends potent elements of indigenous Asian performing arts, physical training and modern dramatic texts. And its appeal is most certainly global; audiences across the world have been moved and touched by the raw power, intensity and poetry of IST’s brand of "inspirational theatre". The company’s performances at home and abroad consistently rouse the mind, body and spirit with its unflinching honesty and fluid beauty.
